Return of the Floppy Disk

Nick Gentry, 31 year old artist from London, creates stunning portraits using old floppy disks (remember those?) as his canvas.
He prefers to use previously owned materials and states that "the life and personality of these objects are a big part of each artwork"
He uses as little as one disk or hundreds of them to create big portraits in a mosaic style.

He has exhibited his work in the US, Great Britain and Europe and has recently been comissioned by Selfridges to create a city landscape out of his floppy disks.
Gentry will also be part of this years Art Basel in Miami, starting in November 2011.
